Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Welcomes New ED Shannon Josdal
The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is extremely excited to announce Shannon Josdal as the organization’s new Executive Director effective January 10th, 2022.
Shannon has ten years of experience as a manager in the entertainment industry. Most recently, she was responsible for event management and program development for the seven SIGA casinos throughout Saskatchewan. Her position focused on developing and implementing the entertainment experience, and planning events specific to each of the seven casino markets. Shannon is also currently the President of SaskMusic, a non-profit, member-based association that represents, promotes, and develops the artists and music industry of Saskatchewan.
Shannon’s passion for music, and jazz in particular, stems from her Bachelor of Music from the University of Western Ontario, her Professional Certification in Musical Theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, NY, and her experience as a professional music educator for a diverse client base in Regina, Toronto, and Saskatoon. She has an impressive history working with talent, community members, staff, service providers, sponsors and volunteers.
Shannon has a young family in Saskatoon with deep roots in our province. She is energetic, community-minded, and focused on bringing continued success to our premiere summer festival and our organization as a whole.
After an extensive search, the Board of Directors of the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Inc. is proud to have Shannon Josdal join and lead our team. She expresses her mutual excitement for joining the team and developing plans for our 35th SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival from June 30th to July 10th, 2022.
